- HOLLYWOOD, CA – Attorneys allegedly representing former
Beatle Ringo Starr have stepped up to oppose a trademark application
filed by adult actress Elizabeth Starr in connection with her
movie production company, according to documents obtained by
XBiz Monday. According to the documents, Ringo’s attorneys
at Lost Angeles intellectual property firm Fulwider Patton Lee
& Utecht are opposing the application because they believe
that “Starr Productions,” the name used by Elizabeth
Starr’s production company, is too similar to the assumed
name used by musician Richard Starkey. Full

- Among the nominees announced by AVN for the 2005 AVN Awards
Show was premiere fetish company, Starr Productions. The Hollywood-based
company, which specializes in campy big-bust flicks, was nominated
under the "Best Alternative Release" category for
the tempting and teasing hit "Back to the 50's Burlesque
2." Headed by CEO Elizabeth Starr, Starr Productions is
one of the few full-service production companies in the industry
owned by a woman. "We're all very excited to be nominated."
remarked Starr, "It's a wonderful feeling to put your heart
and soul into something and have the industry recognize it."
Starr wrote and directed "Burlesque" in part as a
tribute to her mother who was a showgirl in Las Vegas. "We
can't wait for the Awards Show in January," said Starr,
"it will be a great start to the New Year. We have many
exciting new projects in pre-production and we’re very
much looking forward to a great 2005." Starr Productions’
next release will be “Faster Pussycat – Fuck, Fuck!”
a tribute-spoof loosely based on Russ Meyers’ famous big-bust

- HOLLYWOOD - Starr Productions today announced the termination
of Mark Miremont as VP of Production; he no longer represents
the company."As a company and a family, we have decided
to move in a different direction. I wish Mr. Miremont well
in his future endeavors”, says Elizabeth Starr, CEO
of Starr Productions. Mr.
Miremont’s recent Carnival of Desires, which was fully
financed and is exclusively released by Starr Productions
was shot on digital video and beautifully processed to look
like film.
“The
experiment to expand our line to include non-sex erotica films
is over,” said CEO Elizabeth Starr, “Starr Productions
will now focus on what has made us successful and what we
are known for - Big Bust movies in the spirit of Russ Meyer
and the House of a Hundred Fetishes.” The
company, which specializes in campy big boob adventures and
has been successful with its recent release Busted!, is also
planning more hardcore productions with the addition of an
adult veteran director.

- Russ Meyer, the pioneer of "Big Bust" movies and
one of Elizabeth Starr's biggest influences, passed away over
the weekend. "I'm very sad to learn that Russ Meyer has
passed away,” said Elizabeth, "I just wish he saw
one of my movies." Starr's first film to pay homage to
Mr. Meyer was "Busted!" - a Big Bust jailhouse romp.
Starr Productions is currently making “Porn Stars From
Mars,” another Big Bust adventure and another of what
Elizabeth Starr hopes is a long line of Big Bust films that
